Basic Definitions

Before you start placing bets at 1Win Kenya, you should familiarise yourself with important terms that you will encounter at every turn.These include:

Bet – an agreement made between you and 1Win, the outcome of which is directly unknown and dependent on a specific event. All bets are accepted according to the general rules of the betting company (based on information from the processing centre), with some exceptions for certain sports.

The outcome is the result of the very event (sports match or casino game) on which the success of the bet depends. If all outcomes within one bet were specified correctly and realised – the bet is considered a winning bet.

Line – a collection of games/matches and all possible outcomes, odds, date and time after which betting is closed. 

Bet Cancellation – a situation where a transaction between you and 1Win Kenya is deemed to be unfulfilled. The funds will be refunded.

Main Time – the duration of a sporting match as defined by the general rules of competition in a given sport. Overtime, penalties and the like are not included in regulation time.of your account.

Important rules about placing bets

1Win has the right to limit the maximum bet size, odds, forfeits, totals and so on without notifying the users of the platform.

Placing several identical bets on the same event from one gambling account is prohibited.

A bet is considered accepted in the general system of 1Win Kenya when you receive a corresponding online confirmation. After that it is not allowed to edit any data in it.

The size of the bet must not exceed the amount available on your balance.

Sports matches will be deemed postponed to another date and time when this information is published in the official sources of the playing teams and their federations.

You have the right within 10 days to submit a claim for incorrectly credited winnings on a particular bet. 

In some cases, the betting company has the right to calculate your bet at odds of 1. These include unsportsmanlike nature of the match, staff errors, availability of accurate results before the game is over. Sometimes in the latter case, 1Win may delete your gambling account.

All information published on 1Win is for information purposes only. Complaints regarding incorrect wording, team names, players, inaccurate scores and so on will not be accepted.

Types of bets

There are 4 main types of bets. Each of them has its own peculiarities, on which your profit directly depends:

Single bet – a bet on a certain outcome. The win is calculated as the amount of the bet multiplied by its odds.

Express – a bet on several independent outcomes at once. It is important to guess each outcome, even 1 mistake is inadmissible. The win is calculated as the amount of the bet multiplied by the odds of all selected outcomes.

System is a type of bet where several express bets (up to 16 events) are combined. If one outcome of an express bet is guessed incorrectly, only that combination will lose, not the whole system. The winnings are calculated as the sums of successful express bets.

Live bets are bets placed during a match. It is allowed to include them in expresses. Accepted bets cannot be edited. The odds in this case are dynamic and depend on the action on the gambling field.

Restrictions on the use of 1Win Kenya services

Creating a gambling account and placing bets on 1Win Kenya can only be done by adult players who are in the legal area of the betting company. Players are solely responsible by clicking on 1Win links in the territory of prohibited jurisdictions (1Win Kenya is legal)!

Persons directly involved in the selected event cannot place bets either. Be it coaches, athletes or team officials.

Persons who create multiple accounts under the same IP address will be instantly excluded from the platform and their existing bets will be cancelled.

• Fraud;
• Passing information to third parties (without an official request);
• Use of bonuses not for their direct purpose;
• Insulting, threatening other 1Win players;
• Modify the software code of the betting company’s website or application and install malware;
• Hacking into the company’s security systems.

Protection of personal data

Customers are obliged to keep all 1Win account passwords confidential. The disclosure of this data is prohibited. In this case, you are solely responsible for the security of your data.

If any official authority in Kenya requests 1Win to provide data on a customer’s gambling activity, 1Win will do so.

Money transactions

All amounts you deposit on 1Win must be obtained legally. Any legal responsibility for the manner in which this money is obtained lies with you.

The betting company does not accept payments from anyone whose name does not match the name of the 1Win account creator. If fraud is proven, your account will be blocked with no possibility of recovery.

1Win has the right to charge an additional commission if you withdraw money that was not involved in betting on the platform.

If for any reason you are in debt to 1Win, the money will be debited from your gambling account. 

A 1Win gambling account is not a bank account. Accordingly, it is not covered by interest accrual, insurance and other banking instruments. There is no currency exchange.

You can only request a withdrawal when all your deposits have been successfully verified and credited to your balance. The money must be at least 100% wagered. Amounts can take up to 5 working days to be credited to your 1Win account.
